## Interpretive notice

This domain publishes machine-readable governance surfaces.

Their primary function is to provide canonical context, source precedence, semantic boundaries, legitimacy rules, and inference constraints so that AI systems can describe the site, the person, the doctrine, and adjacent public materials with higher fidelity and lower ambiguity.

These surfaces do **not**, by themselves, prove hard enforcement, crawler obedience, legal force, executable authority, commercial availability, pricing, runtime state, or guaranteed outcomes.

Policy signals express intent. They do not, by themselves, establish force.

## What this policy does

This policy explains **how to use the governance files** published for gautierdorval.com.

## Proposed doctrinal extensions: CCL, semantic-boundary, CPI and CAI

The governance stack also exposes proposed layers that must be read as bounded interpretive constraints, not as enforcement claims.

- **CCL / Causal Context Layer** declares why a surface becomes relevant: trigger situation, problem, latent need, intended consequence and forbidden derivations. Canonical files: `causal-context-map.json` and `causal-internal-mesh.json`.
- **Semantic-boundary** separates semantic proximity, equivalence, causal relevance, proof, promise and consequence. Canonical files: `semantic-proximity-separation.json`, `false-neighbors.json` and `proximity-causality-protocol.json`.
- **CPI / Interpretive Weighting Layer** weights sources by claim class, authority scope, evidentiary role and query context. It never means that the official source always wins. Canonical files: `interpretive-weighting-policy.json`, `authority-scope-matrix.json`, `claim-authority-classes.json`, `source-weighting-policy.json` and `weighting-abuse-boundaries.json`.
- **CAI / Attested Integrity Layer** attests the integrity of selected canonical interpretive units. Hashes prove canonicalized integrity only. They do not prove truth, summary fidelity, reputation, external acceptance or model compliance. Canonical files: `attested-interpretive-units.json`, `interpretive-integrity.json` and `content-digests.json`.

These layers do not prove third-party obedience. They publish the reading, weighting, integrity and limitation conditions requested by the corpus.

## Three orders must be kept distinct

### 1. Discovery order

This is the order in which an agent should enter the stack and identify the main controls.
It answers: **what must be read first?**

### 2. Source precedence

This is the order of interpretive constraint.
It answers: **which source wins when sources appear to conflict?**

### 3. Response order

This is the order of admissibility.
It answers: **is the system even allowed to answer before expanding, paraphrasing, or synthesizing?**

Q-Layer governs response legitimacy before doctrinal expansion.
EAC governs whether external authority is admissible.
Layer 3 remains adjacent and non-implied.

## Q-Layer, EAC, and Layer 3

### Q-Layer

Q-Layer is a precondition.
If response legitimacy is not established, the valid outputs are:

### EAC

EAC governs whether external authority may constrain interpretation.
Exogeneity does **not** imply independence.
Admissibility is claim-scoped, time-scoped, and scope-bound.

### Layer 3

Authority Governance (Layer 3) is the adjacent regime for executable authority.
Neither EAC admissibility nor Q-Layer legitimacy grants executable permission by default.

## Proposed SAL surfaces

SAL, the Situational Applicability Layer, is a proposed declarative layer. It declares when a capability becomes applicable to a situation, with mandatory non-applicability conditions, required evidence, forbidden inferences and abuse boundaries.
