Evidence layer

Probative surfaces brought into scope by this page

This page does more than point to governance files. It is also anchored to surfaces that make observation, traceability, fidelity, and audit more reconstructible. Their order below makes the minimal evidence chain explicit.

false-neighbors.json

/false-neighbors.json

Published surface that contributes to making an evidence chain more reconstructible.

Makes provable
Part of the observation, trace, audit, or fidelity chain.
Does not prove
Neither total proof, obedience guarantee, nor implicit certification.

Brand governance vs interpretive governance

Brand governance organizes internal decisions about identity, name, assets, tone, use, approvals and consistency. Interpretive governance organizes the conditions under which a representation can be reconstructed, audited and contested from internal and external sources.

Brand governance Interpretive governance
Who may use the logo and how Which source may establish which claim
Which tone and message to adopt Which boundaries and non-implications to preserve
How to approve an asset How to version canon, output and evidence
How to maintain internal consistency How to observe drift, variability and authority
How to manage brand architecture How to prevent entity and meaning fusion

Guidelines do not automatically cross the boundary

A guide can align teams, agencies and internal tools. It does not bind ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or another external engine. Publishing more on-brand content may improve corpus consistency without governing external synthesis.

Interpretive governance does not replace branding

It does not choose the logo, creative proposition or desired emotion. It requires claims, sources, scope, versions and exclusions to be readable and auditable.

Point of intersection

The disciplines meet when identity and positioning must become a precise public canon, when products or subsidiaries are confused, during a rebrand, or when external answers stabilize an older version.

Brand governance builds consistency in emitted signals. Interpretive governance protects the legitimacy of what may be reconstructed and concluded.
